Esta experiencia es ideal si ya te encuentras en la zona o si llegas por tu cuenta y quieres lo esencial del desierto —el paseo en camello, el campamento bereber, el atardecer y el amanecer sobre Erg Chebbi— sin complicaciones.
Te recibimos al final de la tarde, cuando la luz es más bonita, y te acompañamos sobre las dunas hasta el campamento. Allí te espera una cena bereber, una velada de música junto al fuego y una noche de silencio absoluto bajo miles de estrellas. Al amanecer, el desierto se tiñe de oro: el mejor momento del día.

Day-by-day itinerary to Merzouga

1Sunset camel ride, camp and sunrise
Around 4–5 pm (depending on the season) we meet you in Merzouga, at the edge of the dunes. We climb onto camels and head into the Erg Chebbi desert to watch the sun go down from the top of the sand. On reaching the camp you settle into your tent, enjoy a Berber dinner and an evening of drums by the fire. In the morning, we wake you in time for sunrise and ride back by camel to the village, where the experience ends.

Where does this experience start?
In Merzouga, next to the dunes. It's perfect if you're already staying in the area or arrive on your own. If you need transport from Marrakech, Fez or Errachidia, we arrange that too: write to us and we'll add it to the quote.
How long is the camel ride?
Around 1 to 1.5 hours each way, enough to get into the dunes and enjoy the sunset and sunrise without tiring. Anyone who prefers can reach the camp by 4x4.
Is it suitable for families with children?
Yes, it's one of families' favourite experiences. The pace is relaxed and the camp is safe and welcoming. For little ones we can arrange the 4x4 transfer instead of the camel.
What should I bring for the night?
A small backpack with warm clothes for the night, water, a torch or phone, and basic toiletries. The camp provides beds, blankets and a bathroom.

Before travelling to Merzouga
Best time
Spring (March–May) and autumn (Sept–Nov). Winter is cold at night; summer is very hot.
What to bring
Light daytime clothes, a warm layer for the night, sunscreen, a hat and comfortable footwear for the sand.
Physical level
Basic level. The camel ride is optional and can be swapped for a 4×4 if you prefer.
Health & safety
Morocco is a safe destination. We recommend travel insurance and bringing any personal medication you need.
